2021 Petit Verdot

A varietal from Southeastern France, this lovely grape is used most often as a blending agent for many red wines to enhance their flavor and structure. The nose, right out of the bottle carries with it green bell pepper, as it warms and opens up the smells of dark cherry and black pepper come forward. The gentle front pallet carries with it notes of sweet cherries, the mid pallet adds complexity as it finishes boldly with the flavors of black cherries, plums, and black raspberries.
